A Walk to Remember/ Maidstone to Yalding Village (13 Miles)
A nice dry dirt path past the Teston Country Park
13th June 2020
I have been telling my husband that we should go for a long walk or a hike when we are blessed with such fine weather for a really long time. We informed our close friends if they wanted to join us. They nodded their heads.
The weather on the day was just perfect for our first long walk to one of the villages near Maidstone. There are different walking routes you can take to this village from Maidstone. We decided to take the route along River Medway through Teston Country Park. The path along the river is very straight forward and goes through a mixture of woodland and grassland.

We started our walk from our home and headed down to join the Teston River Walk Path. We stopped briefly at Teston Country Park to fuel ourselves with some spicy Chatpatey before continuing our walk along the banks of River Medway.

We stopped at the Yalding station, took a train back to Maidstone. It took us about 3 hours in total for the whole journey which was pretty good for starters.
